At YMCA of the Rockies, we strive to provide a unifying experience for families through fun-filled, adventurous, and naturesque activities. Our Program Department offers a variety of special events and classes for you and your family to participate in together. From board games and movie nights to classes about fire building and wildlife in the Rocky Mountain National Park, our family programs are guaranteed to create lifelong memories.
We also have activities catered to our little learners! These programs allow young children time to experience the outdoors with their family while learning something new in the process. Some of these activities includes ball play, bible story time, parachute games, and our most popular, “little explorers” program. Children will have the opportunity to go on a short nature walk and learn about the ecology and wildlife that’s currently surrounding them.
Our family programs meet at Sweet Memorial Building every day and are posted every week on our Weekly Activity Guide. Depending on what activity you and your family sign-up for, some programs may require you and your family to meet at Dorsey Museum, Dorsey Swimming Pool, Maude Jellison Library, the Craft and Design Center, or the Golf Shack. In addition to our family programs, we also offer equipment to rent for hiking, biking, and pick-up games. Any questions and inquiries can be handled by our Program Department at 970-586-3341 x 1104.
