Master Naturalist Multi-Day Workshop

Become a master naturalist during a two-day workshop covering many aspects of flora and fauna of the area!
Join the YMCA Outdoor Education Staff to become a Master Naturalist! Over the course of two days you will learn how to ID common plants and animals in a forest and riparian ecosystem, learn about the formation of the Rocky Mountains, and learn the science behind wildfires. At the end of the course you will be awarded a Master Naturalist certification and celebrate with a campfire! This workshop is for ages 18+ and includes all activities and programs included. Choose what dates work best for your schedule! A convenient option of multiple mid-week sessions in September or October to choose from.
9-10am: Naturalist skill Building
10am-12pm: Montane Forest Ecology
1-4pm: Aquatic Ecology
5-6 pm: Dinner
9am–12pm: Mountain Formations
1-4pm: Fire Ecology + Climate Change
4-5pm: Campfire and Awards

Enjoy a getaway while becoming a master naturalist! Booking through our master naturalist room block, provides a comfortable lodge room for two nights and all meals included at our cafetria-style dining hall for the event.
