These fees are not application fees and are only required to be paid after the trainee has arrived. All fees will be deducted from the trainee’s paycheck in $50.00 increments until the fees have been paid in full. The Trainee will pay the entire insurance fee and are responsible for any increases. Trainees may choose to pay any portion of the fees upon arrival, but payment upon arrival is not required. If a trainee leaves the program before the fees have been paid in full, he or she will pay the remaining balance upon departure. These fees help fund visa and insurance costs, as well as international programming and classroom training. Trainees may be required to pay additional fees for the classroom training or excursions.

Visa Sponsorship Information:
The YMCA of the Rockies works with a variety of visa sponsors and recruiters to provide employment opportunities for international applicants.
The J-1 Work/Travel programs are sponsored by a variety of visa sponsors. The J-1 Camp Counselor, Direct Placement and Multinational Training programs are sponsored by the International YMCA sponsor ICCP (International Camp Counselor Program).
Visa Responsibility for ICCP Participants:
ICCP’s responsibility is to generate an Exchange Visitor Visa Form (DS-2019), which is sent overseas to the applicant who will then apply for the J-1 Visa at the U.S. embassy or consulate in their home country. Issuances of visas are not guaranteed; therefore, ICCP will accept no responsibility for visa denials. Some countries are more likely than others to deny visas. ICCP will review applications carefully, and if such problems are anticipated, the staff will contact directors prior to processing. ICCP provides written guidance to participants for their visa interview. This is mailed to the applicant along with the Exchange Visitor Visa Form (DS-2019).
